About Me
I was born in High Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire, in 1982 and, apart from a brief sojourn to West London, have lived there ever since. Since graduating in 2005 I have been employed by a local and well-respected translation company, where I have received various training and experience, and am currently doing exams for SDL Trados certification.
I married Felicity nearly two years ago, and we are very happy together, and enjoying being servants to our two cats, Salem and Phoenix. Other than that we like to spend time with friends, going to the cinema, or eating out in our favourite restaurants.
I have interests in too many areas, and as a result, I don't have as much time for each as I would like. I am very musical, playing the piano quite well, the violin quite badly, and the drums (hard to tell the difference between good and bad!). I have also done compositions and arrangements, and have conducted a couple of groups. I have directed, stage managed, produced and even acted in various plays and musicals at school, at university, and locally. On top of this, I have been involved in setting-up two companies (links to the right), acting as Company Secretary for both before moving on, but both are still going. I am also very computer-orientated, and am still improving my skills in this area (this site, for example, was designed and built from scratch by me). Other interests include photography, cricket, football, blogging, badminton, cinema, theatre, travel, wine, cooking, cars and writing.
Feel free to contact me on any of the above topics! More education/work info on my CV.
